Summer holidays are my favourites aside Christmas. This is the time I have to take time off work, spend more time with family, travel, eat and pamper myself as much as possible. So far, I spend my holidays shuttling between various cities in Nigeria, depending on where my siblings are at the time. Though I have #vacationgoals that entails plans to extend my travels, beyond Nigeria… work in progress.
This year, I spent vacation in Abuja. I must say that as usual, it was great fun… amidst birthdays, lunch outings, shopping, fun times at recreation centres, etc. A must mention is the feeling of not having to wake up by 5:00am for work… the stress of dealing with staff and running a business (not that I’m not grateful, but you know what I mean…the rest is essential). So, it’s been an exciting time…
Self-Confidence is quite essential in our daily life. For some time now, I’ve been feeling like all my efforts towards weightloss haven’t been yielding much: however, I decided to cut myself some slack. Hello… “You just had a baby.” I would consciously remind myself. Besides, you are still going to have another one… just take it easy and let things unfold gradually.
Nevertheless… in fact, this vacation gave me time or I’d say… the opportunity to take a step back and acknowledge my strong features. I mean, I am not bad for a ‘1-kid’ new mom plus I love the way I look in images with/without makeup. So my self-confidence is boosted. While I’m setting targets for a highly vegan diet + exercises for the next quarter, I’m going to keep loving myself and doing me.
I’m wearing: Fast Fish Pants, Random Tees and converse (I think it’s #madeinNigeria – good stuff)
“The effectual, fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much…”
A few years back, I got into a conversation about praying for your future husband with my colleagues and I was shocked at the opinions some of them had about the subject. So fast track to today, being happily married and all, I can’t help but wonder if they still hold on to their opinion or not. Well, since I have a blog now, what better way to share my thoughts and also get to know what the views of my readers are, and if possible inspire some people to think differently regarding the matter.
I must confess that the only true reason I’m falling in love with Ankara is because of all the cool styles I can make with them. So about this outfit, you know I mentioned in my previous post that I styled this outfit three ways within a week, well, that is how crazy I am about it and more so, that is what minimalism is all about.
I have been in denial about the necessity of owning a primer for so long (thanks to my oily skin), finally I’ve accepted my fate and I decided to add it to my beauty ‘must haves‘. Take it from me, my face is just terrible around 2:00pm any day I wear makeup without primer. I have also tried MOM and even the Nivea After Shave ‘primer hacks’, which have their limitations (for another post)…
I’m so excited to finally share this update on my current collaboration with Savud World. SAVUD is a Nigerian Fashion House which deals on clothings as well as customized interiors decorations. They make customised chairs, throw pillows, cushions, etc. to suit your taste and style. Early this year, we decided to move our business relationship to another level by kicking off a collaboration. Hence this is the first of many more to come.
Finding the perfect eyeshadow palette has been a major challenge in my beauty department. Usually, I don’t go for palettes with two, three or four colors. I like the type that comes with at least 10 colors that I can work with. However, I have noticed that, some of these ones that come in 2 – 3 colors are usually the good ones.
