2015: My Year In Review

goal setting

Hello friend…happy new year and I hope you had a pleasant holiday. Welcome to 2016!

I hope you are as excited as I am about this year. Well…just in case you’re not, you should be. So long as you have expectations for the year, you should be excited for the plans you have and that alone is going to propel you to work hard in achieving your goals.
Speaking of goals, 2015 was an amazing year for me! I must say I achieved most of the goals I set out to achieve at the beginning of the year.
  1. I opened a blog,
  2. I registered my domain names (though www.cheeddahlooks.com has been temporarily inaccessible for some months now…updated in 1017, now Winnie’s Style).
  3. I got a job
  4. I maintained good and healthy relationships with God and people.
  5. I took up a one month makeup class
  6. I and established a successful Facebook Page.
  7. I settled down in a new location.
  8. I learnt how to drive.
  9. I did more research and equipped myself with skills to up my game on my job and other areas of interest…and trust me…they are plenty.
  10. I got a camera.
The list could go on and on…but these are like the most significant ones.
Once I talked to someone about Goal Setting, and he told me it is irrelevant and only for those who are broke and stuff like that. Correct me if I’m wrong, I think that it is highly ridiculous and I wonder where that school of thought came from. In fact, people who are supposedly rich need more goal setting if not, they’ll end up mismanaging their resources which could lead to bankruptcy.
Achieving your goals most times doesn’t come easy. However your level of determination and commitment to start and finish a task is enough to make God ensure the forces of life and nature work together to favour your course.
Without proper goal-setting, I probably could have spent the money I used for my tuition fee to buy cloths while I spend all my precious time watching seasonal movies instead of learning how to drive. You get my point?
Setting goals for the year put me on track. I knew what I wanted to achieve by the end of the year, I didn’t travel anyhow: a high level of consciousness on the goals I have for the years made it easy for me to manage my time effectively, knowing when to play, when to sleep, when to work, when to take time and meditate, etc.
What were you able to achieve last year? Kindly share your tips on how to achieve your goals.
