One amazing thing I love about black is that it never goes out of style. Be it in hair, makeup, accessories, apparels, etc. It always makes a comeback. Today I decided to pair this bodycon dress with this jeggings from Forever 21. The jeggings, which I got in a navy blue color as well has been my favourite bottom wear for some time now.

On a day like this, when I just felt like putting a twist to my style and doing something different, I thought about pairing this body-con midi dress with a pant, and I looooooved it. I felt confident and beautiful too… being that I’ve been working on my weight for sometime now, this outfit really made me feel very beautiful and lean (I promise, I didn’t try to slim the image via photo editing).

I love the simplicity, but yet chic appeal of this look, which quite describes my style. The cornrows… at the time of this shoot, felt like heaven, the fresh air on my scalp, the very natural makeup, not-over-the-top ear ring, and finally the wedge shoes did justice to this look. I think every lady that owns a bodycon dress needs to try to look… I am 80% certain you’d love it.

Would you style this look? Where would you wear it to?

  1. I love black cos in a way it hides our “surplus” figure. But I always consider people asking ” why are u wearing all black, did something happen” so what does one do ?

    • Well… it depends on your society. In most more civilised societies were people have a liberal mind… and mind their business as a culture – people don’t have time to be so concerned with the color you chose to wear on a certain day.
Nevertheless, just tell them that’s what you like to wear that day, besides, black doesn’t always have to do with death or mourning… educate them to be more positive.

    • I’ve been wearing majorly black and white since 2017 and I am not in anyway getting tired… I feel as though I’ve not even began to explore the concept of a minimal wardrobe as much as I wish to… but so far, I’m having a swell time doing my all-backs on daily basis.
